SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
- COMPETITION – Stonegate Estate
1.1 The promoter is Stonegate Farmers Ltd (company no. 01019356) whose registered office is at Whiteoaks Farm, The Old Sidings, Corsham Road Lacock, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 2LZ
1.2 This competition is brought to you by Stonegate Farmers (“For the Stonegate Estate brand”).
1.3 This Competition will run for the “Competition Period” which is stated on the social media Competition post.
1.4 By entering this Competition, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”). The details of the Competition form part of these T&Cs. You should print and retain a copy of these T&Cs for reference. Any breach of these T&Cs may result in a prize being forfeited at Stonegate Farmers sole discretion.
1.5 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Stonegate Farmers and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
1.6 Entrants must meet the following requirements (the “Eligibility Criteria”): reside in the United Kingdom, be at least 18 years of age or older and have access to the internet.
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1 Every person who meets the Eligibility Criteria (“Entrant”) shall be entitled during the Competition Period to enter the Competition.
2.2 Entrants may enter the competition by liking the Stonegate Estate social media post, following the relevant collaborators and tagging other accounts during the Competition period unless otherwise stated on the Competition post.
2.3 The Competition must be entered in each Entrant’s own name; it may not be entered on behalf of anyone else. No bulk, software-generated, automatic or third-party entries shall be accepted. If a false name is used, that Entry will be disqualified.
2.4 Multiple entries accepted, unless otherwise mentioned on the social media post. In this case, each Entrant is limited to one Entry. If more than one Entry per Entrant is received, or if any Entrant attempts to submit more than one Entry by using the same, multiple or different names or social media accounts, all such Entries may be deemed void and that Entrant may be disqualified from the Competition.
2.5 Only Entries that have been completed correctly and in full will be entered into the Competition. Stonegate Farmers does not accept any responsibility for late, lost, delayed or damaged Entries and cannot be held responsible for any inability to submit entries as a result of computer service, systems and/or server failure, error, interruption, defect or delay or any other technical malfunction.
3. WINNER SELECTION
3.1 The Winner will be chosen by means of randomised selection from all valid Entries.
3.2 Winners will be chosen at random by an independent adjudicator.
4. CONTACTING THE WINNER
4.1 Stonegate Farmers will make reasonable efforts to notify the Winner of the Prize on the social media post in which the Competition has taken place. The winner will be notified shortly after the competition has ended.
4.2 If the Winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the Winner and pick a replacement winner.
The Winner will be asked to provide a UK postal address for the prize to be sent to.
5. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
5.1 Stonegate Famers reserves the right to withdraw, change or cancel the Competition at any time. Stonegate Farmers decision in all matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.2 The Prize must be taken as stated and unless otherwise specified cannot be deferred. There will be no cash or other alternative offered. Once a Prize has been allocated it cannot be transferred and must not be sold on.
5.3 Stonegate Farmers, including its officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents, excludes all liability for any losses and/or damages of whatever nature and howsoever arising in relation to these T&Cs, this Competition and/or the Prize, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws.
5.4 In consideration of being awarded the Prize, if you are the Winner, you may be required by Stonegate Farmers to take part in publicity related to the subject of the Competition. Such publicity may include, without limitation, use of the Winner’s name, photographs (which the Winner will provide on request) and statements made by the Winner concerning the Competition and/or the Prize.
5.5 The information you provide will only be used for the purpose of the Stonegate Estate social media competition. The data will not be shared with third parties.
5.6 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook/Instagram/Twitter, and Facebook/Instagram/Twitter shall not be liable for any losses whatsoever arising from this Competition and/or the Prize. You are providing your information to Stonegate Estate and not to Facebook/Instagram/Twitter.

5.8 These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
SECURITY POLICY
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Policy is to safeguard information belonging to Stonegate Estate and its stakeholders (third parties, clients or customers and the general public), within a secure environment.
This Policy informs Stonegate Estate’s staff and other individuals entitled to use our facilities, of the principles governing the holding, use and disposal of information.
It is the goal of Stonegate Estate that:
- Information will be protected against unauthorised access or misuse.
- Confidentiality of information will be secured.
- Integrity of information will be maintained.
- Availability of information / information systems is maintained for service delivery.
- Business continuity planning processes will be maintained.
- Regulatory, contractual and legal requirements will be complied with.
- Physical, logical, environmental and communications security will be maintained.
- Infringement of this Policy may result in disciplinary action or criminal prosecution.
- When information is no longer of use, it is disposed of in a suitable manner.
- All information security incidents will be reported to the Director of IT
- Systems and investigated through the appropriate management channel.
Information relates to:
- Electronic information systems (software, computers, and peripherals) owned by Stonegate Estate whether deployed or accessed on or off company sites.
- Stonegate Estate’s computer network used either directly or indirectly.
- Hardware, software and data owned by Stonegate Estate.
- Paper-based materials.
- Electronic recording devices (video, audio, CCTV systems).
2. THE POLICY
Stonegate Estate requires all users to exercise a duty of care in relation to the operation and use of its information systems.
- Authorised users of information systems
With the exception of information published for public consumption, all users of Stonegate Estate information systems must be formally authorised by appointment as a member of staff or by other process specifically authorised by the IT Director. Authorised users will be in possession of a unique user identity. Any password associated with a user identity must not be disclosed to any other person.
Authorised users will pay due care and attention to protect Stonegate Estate information in their personal possession. Confidential, personal or private information must not be copied or transported without consideration of:
- permission of the information owner
- the risks associated with loss or falling into the wrong hands
- how the information will be secured during transport and at its destination
2.2 ACCEPTABLE USE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Use of Stonegate Estate’s information systems by authorised users will be lawful, honest and decent and shall have regard to the rights and sensitivities of other people.
2.3 INFORMATION SYSTEM OWNERS
Stonegate Estate Directors who are responsible for information systems are required to ensure that:
- Systems are adequately protected from unauthorised access.
- Systems are secured against theft and damage to a level that is cost-effective.
- Adequate steps are taken to ensure the availability of the information system, commensurate with its importance (Business Continuity).
- Electronic data can be recovered in the event of loss of the primary source. I.e. failure or loss of a computer system. It is incumbent on all system owners to backup data and to be able to restore data to a level commensurate with its importance (Disaster Recovery).
- Data is maintained with a high degree of accuracy.
- Systems are used for their intended purpose and that procedures are in place to rectify discovered or notified misuse.
- Any electronic access logs are only retained for a justifiable period to ensure compliance with the data protection, investigatory powers and freedom of information acts.
- Any third parties entrusted with Stonegate Estate data understand their responsibilities with respect to maintaining its security.
2.4 PERSONAL INFORMATION
Authorised users of information systems are not given rights of privacy in relation to their use of Stonegate Estate information systems. Duly authorised officers of Stonegate Estate may access or monitor personal data contained in any Stonegate Estate information system (mailboxes, web access logs, file-store etc).
2.5 Individuals in breach of this policy are subject to disciplinary procedures at the instigation of the IT Director with responsibility for the relevant information system, including referral to the Police where appropriate.
Stonegate Estate will take legal action to ensure that its information systems are not used by unauthorised persons.
3. OWNERSHIP
3.1 The Director of IT Systems has direct responsibility for maintaining this policy and providing guidance and advice on its implementation.
Information system owners are responsible for the implementation of this Policy within their area, and to ensure adherence.
