Our Story

Driving through the picturesque, centuries-old village of Lacock, Wiltshire, with its beautifully preserved stone houses and “honesty boxes” full of fresh goodies for sale, you realise you’re in a very special part of the countryside. Onwards down the country lane past the manicured hedgerows, you soon find yourself happily clucking alongside our free-roaming hens. For over 20 years, we’ve loved producing the finest organic eggs here – and so have our hens! With our Soil Association standards, our hens are so well cared for, they always lay the most wholesome, organic farm eggs you’ll find, which are, frankly, worth clucking about!

Stonegate Organic

You can rest assured our organic standards are more strict than the EU’s, with much smaller flocks and access to more grassy land to range and forage. Plus they enjoy access to it at a much earlier age to encourage a free range life. With two decades of experience in caring for our organic hens, we can ensure the highest health and welfare standards, not only for them but also our farmers who care for them. By choosing organic means that you are supporting farming practices with a traceable production process, so you’ll always know what’s in your food. Stonegate Organic are eggs you can trust.
